HONEY SEED CRUNCH

light snack

01 Ingredients

  • ½  cup white sesame seeds

  • ½ cup black sesame seeds 

  • ½  cup quinoa

  • ½  cup flaxseeds

  • ½  cup chia seeds 

  • ¼  cup pumpkin seeds

  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds 

  • ¼  cup almonds 

  • 1 cup pure organic honey

  • Pinch salt

02 Preparation

  1. Heat the oven to 160ºC 

  2. Break up the almonds into smaller pieces

  3. Mix all the seeds and nuts together  

  4. Cover a baking tray with parchment paper, and pile the seed mixture on to it 

  5. Pour over the honey, add a pinch of salt, and combine the mixture till it’s evenly covered with the honey

  6. Spread the mixture out and bake in the middle rack of the oven till just golden, about 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to mix

  7. Remove from the oven, stir

  8. Leave to cool and then bottle, or put in an airtight container

  9. Use in salads, over ice cream, on breakfast cereal, as a snack, or sprinkled on fruit and yoghurt

Cook’s Notes
